At school, the other children's bees are nowhere to be seen, so Bessie tucks her own away. Holding them in gets harder by the day, until her Granny helps her wonder whether the bees need hiding at all. The book closes with pages from a Mayo Clinic pediatrician for families to read together.

About the Author and Illustrator
George Kirk taught in primary schools and worked as a librarian before writing for children, and she draws on her own experience of autism and ADHD. Bessie's Bees is her debut. Ana Gómez illustrates children's books from Monterrey, Mexico, and studied fine arts at the University of Salamanca.
