Driscoll works through what Catholic teaching holds about angels: what they are, what they know and can do, and how they do and do not act in the physical world. He discusses fallen angels, whom he describes as working to tempt people toward sin, and guardian angels, which he presents as given by God to guide and protect each person. The theology is the author's, drawn from the tradition he writes within.
Catholic readers curious about guardian angels, catechists and parish study groups, and readers of the author's earlier Demons, Deliverance, and Discernment will find the subject gathered in one place. Driscoll explains the doctrine; the devotion the publisher hopes it will foster is left to the reader.
