Readical Key Points

• Book three and the conclusion of the Nightfall Saga, following The Desert Prince and The Hidden Queen
• Epic fantasy set in the world of Brett's Demon Cycle
• Content note: war and battle violence
• Hardcover from Del Rey, published April 7, 2026; 480 pages

Alagai Ka, called the Prince of Lies and the Father of Demons, is hunting for a new queen so he can rebuild his hive, and the signs point to a distant shore. Olive and Darin, whose parents already defeated demonkind once, follow him there. They reach a land where demons serve people and keep them company. Its rulers, one of them a prince taken with Olive, seem unable or unwilling to see what they are harboring.

The story continues from the first two books, so newcomers should begin with The Desert Prince. Readers who know the Demon Cycle will recognize the setting, and fans of large-scale epic fantasy with sustained action will find the saga brought to its end in this Del Rey hardcover. Across the water, demons wait on human households, and nobody in those households has learned to be afraid.
