The two children try one game after another: baking animal-shaped cookies that make animal noises, drifting on the wind as butterflies, counting brightly colored birds, sleeping in a hotel for animals and staging a show. The words are few and simple, and the full-color pictures hold small details for young readers to find on each spread.
Parents, caregivers, preschool teachers and librarians can share it with children who love pretend play, and with friends who make up games together. Two children and one house are all the story needs; everything else they invent.
